Battle on the Beach has a tiered start system to make the race safe and fair for all. Riders who intend to race are positioned nearer the front, with those who are looking to enjoy a more relaxed pace behind them. This only applies to the positioning and all riders will leave at the same time.

Up to 200 places at the front are reserved for seeded riders, with those automatically seeded based on the previous event results:

• Top 100 overall at the 2023 event
• Top 3 of every age category at the 2023 event

Seeded places are also available for application. Riders are selected based on this application.
Please ensure all applications are brief, and only give race results. Essays will be ignored, as will any activity that is not an official race.
